As its name suggests, it’s a day center that provides psycho-socio-educational and professional rehabilitation programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health disorders. The CRI operates on several levels:
- Develop cognitive and practical academic skills, such as communication, orientation in time and space, lateralization, body schema, graphic expression, practical mathematics, reading, and writing.
- Promote autonomy and social integration by enhancing daily living skills (e.g., nutrition, hygiene, dressing, domestic tasks, safety, health, money management). The goal is to reduce dependency on others, strengthen the sense of responsibility, and support healthier interpersonal relationships in line with the person’s environment.
- Provide professional training to help individuals with developmental disabilities take on responsibilities, build self-esteem, and achieve as much economic independence as possible.
- Offer specialized therapeutic services, including speech therapy, psychomotricity, psychotherapy, art therapy, and physical education.
