About Phenix group homes

Our Specialized team:

Phénix group homes is a non-sectarian, non-political association founded in 2011 by Dr. Wadih Nassour, a clinical psychologist and dedicated activist in human rights and social work, in collaboration with a team of experts in psychology, education, and law, as well as families of individuals with intellectual and psychological disorders.

The association’s mission is to contribute to the creation of a more just, peaceful, and joyful society by promoting a culture of respect for diversity and acceptance of others, especially the most vulnerable. It strives to empower individuals by enhancing their capacities, supporting their integration into their environment, and ensuring they fully enjoy the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights—allowing them to live with love and dignity.

To achieve these goals, the association mobilizes all available resources and implements the necessary programs and initiatives, including the creation of educational, psychological, counseling, healthcare, and vocational institutions, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Words from the Founder

Within each of us burns an Eternal Flame — the flame of energy, hope, goodness, and life. It is the immortal Eros, which, though covered by the ashes of hardship, suffering, marginalization, and isolation, can, with a breeze of Love, Care, and Specialization, rise again from its ashes like a Phoenix, and blossom into a thousand radiant flowers across the vast meadows of life.

Eva KHOURY

Despite his challenges, my son experienced extraordinary moments at He made real progress in his development, especially in communication, and most importantly, he felt surrounded by a family of caring professionals.

From the very beginning, I was actively involved in the founding of Phénix driven by the deep belief that such a place could offer hope and support to other families like mine. To this day, I continue to fight so that Phénix can grow and continue to be a refuge—a place where children are not only helped, but truly loved and understood.

Phénix gives me something priceless: the feeling that my son's future is safe.

Elianne Abi RAMIA

For seven years, my daughter was embraced with exceptional care, unwavering support, and genuine love by the Phénix team. Their dedication and compassion went far beyond professional duty—it truly felt like family.
Deeply inspired by Phénix, I was moved to create a sister association in the Jbeil area—Grace Hills—carrying the same spirit, vision, and mission: to offer holistic care, uphold dignity, and promote inclusion for every individual in need. Phénix lit a flame in me, and Grace Hills is a continuation of that light—one that I hope will touch many lives as profoundly as Phénix touched ours.
